STAINED GLASS
Pilgrim Church is filled with beautiful stained glass. One
is very special and has become a church signature, reflecting
our theme of "A Church by the Sea." We are pleased
to include a photo, the history and significance of this stained
glass art work.
The stained glass window above the chancel altar was a gift
from Russell N. Monbleau (the brother of The Reverend Dr.
Charles H. Monbleau), and was dedicated on December 11, 1966
in loving memory of their parents, Charles J. and Alice Monbleau.
The central figure is Christ at waters' edge. In the background,
beneath His right hand is a small sailboat and ocean waves.
Above are clouds and seagulls. At His feet, on either side,
are small rosebushes. The border of the window contains scallop
shells, dolphins, fish, conch shells and anchors, all symbols
of the Christian Church.
