Other Missions
Missions activities involve the whole church in our goal to help our brothers and sisters in the community, state, nation and world.
These activities are split between monetary and activity-oriented local and global missions, as well as supporting our youth's missions (One Great Hour of Sharing, Heifer Project, the Leprosy Mission and meals for NOAH Shelter). Missions continues to give financial support to CCEYM, MACUCC, Habitat for Humanity and Elder Services.
In 2009, Pilgrim Church members participated in the CCEYM Walk, the Boston "Walk for Hunger," HECH Walk, HAC "Walk to End Homelessness," and Salvation Army's "Dress a Live Doll."
In addition, Missions supported "Homeless not Hopeless," NOAH Shelter, "In from the Streets" (Cape Cod Council of Churches), Church World Services-Dafur and Reverend Ralston Smith in Jamaica.
The church partipates in the Overnights of Hospitality Program.
In 2008, the church raised $8,000 for the Harwich Habitat for Humanity Build, as part of the goal of $50,000 needed for the Harwich Faith Build. Eight Harwich communities of faith volunteered to donate their labor to this project, which started building in Spring 2009.
